I feel safe. But it's stifling. It is warm in here... dank... Dank from sweat due to social anxiety.

I am thriving. I'm a bacteria. Moisture and warmness, that's what I need.

No, I'm not. I'm human. Time to face reality.

That jacket is oozing sexiness. Giggity-gig. But like topshop's well-loved baseball jackets, soon everyone will be wearing the same jacket like a uniform. But get it anyway!! This jacket says "I'm so cool - I'm unoriginal!!!" Perfect especially if you want to fit into society!

I don't know what I'm driving at. But anyway, I absolutely adore the 50's teddy boy look, 60's psychedelic hippie vibes, 70's mod-inspired skinhead image and the fashion sensibilities of late. Finally, after years of experimenting and excessive wasting of my parents' hard-earned money, I have defined my style.

Bottom-line: I just wasted an hour, not to mention the previous years of materialistic pursuit.

Altitudes high enough might give rise to low oxygen levels. While it definitely seems absurd to state that being 55 storeys above ground makes it harder to breathe, it is true with the breath-taking mosaic and interplay of lights from atop.

I was typing a long prose of things I'm gonna miss as a teen...

I just couldn't type it well. I used words I always used. I don't like that. I guess I like change a lot. Or the concept of expansion. I can't decide.

Change seems to be connote ungratefulness, detaching ourselves from associations to the outdated.
Expansion alludes to greed, calling to our impulsive tendencies, wavering continence.

I obliterated the textual trudge.

Then I realised: Shit. I'm still a teenager. Why am I wasting time I'm gonna miss in the future?

I halt and approached an adult to get some directions. "Where do I go from here?" I asked, with fervent beliefs that this one individual, with 10 years or more of wisdom and character hewn by life, which sometimes manifests itself as a cutting tool - a tool of destruction and creation depending on the varying perception of the onlooker - into something polished and worth admiring at.

I stood there for the moment of truth. Nary a doubt her answer will be the omnipotent force which will pull my thoughts, whirling like hurricane winds - tumultuous and in continuous sinuous motions - to the eye of the storm. Amid all the hubbub, humdrum and hovering fears, I would be unscathed, almost shielded and shut away, kept in a pristine condition. Out of the clutter, I'd find simplicity. Out of the infinite questions, I'd know what Socrates meant by "The unexamined life is not worth living." Out of the hardships, I'll not coast through and be assailed but sail against gale-force winds into the horizons. So on and so forth.

Or so I thought.

With the appropriate length of a pause, she spoke. "Get your own compass," she answered in an assertive tone.

But anyway, I like to coast through life, living in denial (I think that takes a lot of self-faith or rather, inane arrogance) to think and assure myself that people still do bother expending time on this shit... I mean, space. No srsly...

I've nothing interesting to share. Ok I do. But by 'interesting', I really don't know if I'm defining it properly. Damn it. Society dictates everything. Society says you're not pretty enough... Anyway, this year I've decided that I need to be cooler. I define 'cool' to be able to stand my ground, say more constructive thingum (Even if it doesn't make sense or relevance, I hope it'll make one halt and ponder or laugh it off) and be less awkward. I envisage it to involve a lot of false confidence, bravado even... A lot of self-pride wrought in to this transition basically.

The pivotal step would be to defeat self-defeatism, i.e. saying things like "I'm not sure..." "Well maybe..." "I don't know. (insert the all-too-familiar rubbing of cricket wings sound)" In order to feel geared up, I've decided it's best if I come up with some solid comebacks to barbed words in order to construct a fortress around my ego.

I MISS XMAS!!!!!!!! Omgggg I had the best xmas eve and xmas ever this year! I hear xmas songs everyday at work when I trudge to the toilet. Shut the door. Take a seat and my face scrunches up to a "GIVE ME BACK MY XMASSSSS!!!!!"

My xmas presents were stuffed with awesomeness to the brim (I finally got what I want after placing so much absurd belief in santa since young. Wait. No. Screw the society. He's real!) and they're not the only ones! The other being my seemingly expandable stomach. I had soooo much good food to eat. Just the sight of all the home-cooked goodness whetted my appetite (Significantly increased by 10 folds. I kid you not.)

Spaghetti Bolognese, rice with chicken curry, salad with ham, spring rolls, spicey chicken drumlets and walnut bread with thick slabs of butter, ham and hey! more butter please!!!! All within a night. Mind-boggling!! Considering the fact that I get full easily during dinner.

But of course, my xmas was made surreal base on the very premise that I spent it with my favourite person in the world... Ahhhhhhhhhh (That was a blissful sigh.)

So now I'm attached to a new mall! Goodbye Orchard Central and hello... Central ._. You might think business is probably half as lacklustre at Central. (Oh, you and your wordplays.) Well, you're right! But that doesn't make my job any more interesting... I'm just doing administrative work and I'm really not cut out for stultifying office jobs.

But I'm hanging... Real well. But then again, it's only day 2 of my job. Haaaa sucker. Once I get the money, I'm thinking of moving on to something more exciting... That REALLY shouldn't be difficult. I want to improve on my writing. Write something substantial and FINALLY materialise my early sewing ambitions. Saving up for a sewing machine!!

Hey I'm back!!!!!!!! I'm not sure if I can still blog properly... As you can tell, it's been donkey ages since I've last composed something longer than a text message or two. But anyway, life's been... Hmmm, not bad I guess. But it's a pity I haven't been trying to y'know... Carpe Diem. I'm glad I've untangled the haphazard thoughts in my head though and they're lucid now... (Well at least, I think they are to me.) Like I've directions in my life now!! A goal! Dreams!!! FUCK this is NOT the Evonne you've known. Tell me about it. I'm not the Evonne I've known either ever since having gone through and still in the last year of the mortifying phase of life a.k.a. adolescence.

And nothing beats the feeling of knowing that you're somewhat growing up and evolving to an adult... Yes, I just can't wait to turn 21. That said, I do know that it's not all gonna get better with age. But sometimes, don't you think we need a huge deal of hope, or some would say naivety, in life?

Ok so bottom line: My plan for this period of time before uni life kicks in (I've been told it kicks you in the ass. Guess we didn't read the fine prints of our uni pamphlets :/) is not quite a plan. I've decided not to work senselessly but at least ensure I can still sustain my pursuit into the areas of my interests... Probably much to the disgust of most 'cos I guess the sensible thing to do is to earn and hoard my money away for uni purpose. Then again, one man's disgust is another man's delight. No shit.

These are some of the many pictures I took for personal usage during my 12 more days of work for the google maps project. Work was arduous and a pain in the arse. My skin was clammy from the heat from relentless sun rays. I thought, sure, this'll be awesome. I'll be all golden and smokin' hot after my tan... Yea and then after just a day of work, I was down with heat rash and subsequently paranoia and phobia of the sun. I had to hide under an umbrella which I felt akin to a warrior who feels threatened by sharp objects. Yea ok... basically, like a loser.

BUTTTTTT, I really miss my job because there're bountiful perks to it. There's always something to different to expect out of it - places I've never set foot or my eyes on, people whom I'd never talk to and the exposure to different living cultures. I expected a litany of complaints from the people whom I had long chats with (mostly in chinese. Yea!!! IN YOUR FACE!!! HAHA... Ok I gotta admit, I did most of the listening), what with the hike in shop rental payment and their dissent with the government, but I found myself absorbed in the conversation after gaining an insight into their way of living.

But ok, words are boring and pictures are stimulating so I'll share more pictures next time, at the sacrifice of my study time. (haha yea right. I'm just glad this blogging space serves as a decent respite.)
